give up everything to live for Jesus (4:12-25)



and seek to build our lives on Jesus and his word (7:24ff)

That means we will:

• stand out (5:16)
• aim for perfection (5:48)
• guard our motives (6:1)
• live for heaven (6:20)
• …

Remember where home is…

• where your treasure is, there you heart is (19-21)
• ambition reveals your heart (22-23)
• you can’t serve two masters (24)

… and you won’t have a worry in the world

• food, drink and clothes…
• worrying doesn’t help (v25-27)
• God cares (v28-30)
• remember where your home is! (v31-34)

2. This repentance is for ALL nations

3. Jesus went to GALILEE as the Light that exposes the darkness (We need the Light to Repent)

The Word of God is a MIGHTY Weapon (Matthew 4:1-11)

Main Point: Jesus shows us that the devil has been disarmed
