John 2:1-12

 

John records the first of seven signs that show Jesus’ glory

 

Jesus says his “hour has not yet come” (4) 

as he gives a taste of what to expect when it does 

by replaced the old with the new (6-8)

and revealing his glory to his disciples (11)

And John shows Mary’s appropriate response (4-5)

Thomas’ story: he needed to see, to believe…

 

 

But Jesus says you don’t have to see to believe…   (v29)

 

and John has given us evidence so we may believe   (v30-31)
