Kenmore Presbyterian Church has obtained development approval for a new church on land located at 1 Pullenvale Road, Pullenvale. The proposal consists of an application for a Material Change of Use for a place of worship, ancillary church related office and meeting rooms, multi-purpose community rooms, landscaping and car parking.
The current church congregation has been meeting in school halls and other spaces since 2006. In recent years we have been looking for a suitable place to establish a church building.
We are not a large congregation and do not have ambitions to become a ‘mega-church’ because there are benefits which come with being smaller. The building design and anticipated community use reflects this.
In submitting this development application it is our desire to build a church which will be a valuable addition to the community into the future. Considerable effort has been invested into designing a purpose built church which is attractive, blends with the rest of the suburb of Pullenvale and is sensitive to the environment.
The architects, Hogg and Lamb, have a proven track-record. They have arrived at the current plans after much consultation and working closely with Ethos Urban Town Planners and all the relevant studies and reports.
