Power in Weakness

2 Corinthians

We are studying 2 Corinthians at Church and in mid-week Growth Groups. You are welcome to join us as we consider what it means to be a Christian and to share the truth about Jesus.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknessesso that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV)

Your Kingdom Come

Our Bible Teaching at church is currently from the Old Testament book of Zechariah.

The words of the prophet Zechariah seem like ancient history but the gospel writers (in the New Testament) point us to Zechariah to understand who Jesus is and what it means for God’s Kingdom to Come – making Zechariah important for us to read.

As we read Zechariah we hear a call to return to God. It is a call Jesus echoes as he comes preaching the Kingdom of God.

In Zechariah the command to repent is followed by a promise – God will return to you.
