We are meeting in person again

After another brief lockdown in Brisbane (9-11 January) we returned to meeting with masks (17th January) and from 24th January masks are optional again, rather than compulsory.

Below is an outline of our other COVID-19 safety measures.

NightChurch has relocated to Kenmore Uniting Church in order to increase capacity while still maintaining social distancing.

For those who can not meet in person you can continue to watch church services online – kpc.org.au/online or listen to sermons.

Our Church members continue to encourage each other to grow in knowing Jesus, living for him and sharing the truth about him – as we pray for each other and for our world.

COVID safe plans

KPC have opted into the Approved COVID Safe Industry Plan for Places of Worship.

Food may only be served when approved by the Committee of Management who will ensure correct safety procedures are in place.

When we meet we will observe Social distancing and hygiene measures, but we will not require anyone to have their temperature taken upon entry, masks are to be worn when mandated by the government. You may of course choose to wear a mask at other times, but please bring your own that adequately suits your requirements.

Here are some further notes:

  • families/households should sit in groups separated by at least 1.5m (spread chairs out clustered in family groups).
  • For Morning and NightChurch there will be separate seating for anyone who fits the demographic above (i.e. should consider not attending) but who attend being aware of the risk. Chairs for this section will be set up and wiped down with disinfectant and set 3m from the general population.

Power in Weakness

2 Corinthians

We are studying 2 Corinthians at Church and in mid-week Growth Groups. You are welcome to join us as we consider what it means to be a Christian and to share the truth about Jesus.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknessesso that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV)
