Who we are

We are a group of Christians in the western suburbs of Brisbane, who believe that the message of Jesus Christ is the most important news. It is this message that determines all we do as a community of Christian people.

Everyone is welcome at Kenmore Presbyterian Church – any age and from any background, and at any stage of Christian understanding. We especially welcome those who are beginning to explore Christianity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to grow as we proclaim Jesus to everyone and to aim to present everyone mature in Christ.

Our vision

Our vision is to be a loving, growing, Bible-centred community that challenges people to be reconciled with God through his Son Jesus Christ.

As we grow together, we will be welcoming, open and flexible, so the good news of Jesus will be made clear through us.

And as we grow together we desire to plant new churches, so that they too can grow to plant again.

We will strive to have a positive influence in the wider church, our community and our world, and will seek to raise up and train Christian leaders for the future.

Our core values

• We value the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave up his life for the sins of the world, and rose from death to rule the world. We seek to share this news.
• We value clear, Christ-centred Bible teaching that leads to trusting in Jesus as Saviour, and obeying Him as Lord.
• We value prayer, as we recognise God’s rule over all things, and we seek to pray according to His will.
• We value each other, and seek to encourage one another to grow in Christian maturity in everything we do.
• We value all people, and aim to engage everyone with the person and truth of Jesus.

Our culture

Meeting together to encourage one another and spur each other on towards love and good deeds is an important part of what it means for us to be a church. So we have regular Growth Groups and we encourage one-one prayer and discipleship. We encourage all followers of Jesus to play their part in building Christ’s church and so we run church activities in a way which is simple, welcoming and understandable to everyone. We desire that our church community would express practical love modelled on the sacrificial love of Christ, who gave himself for us.
